The story starts - It is 1962 and Tracy has hopes of appearing on the local TV dance show, The Corny Collins Show, but is met with no, it can’t happen. Yet, Tracy proves people wrong and after winning a role in the show with her plucky boldness and swinging hips and becoming a star overnight. But she realizes that there are injustices in her hometown that she cannot stand by. What will unfold when Tracy and her friends and family fight against the wrongs in their hometown?
