Atlanta Rhythm Section are one of the South’s most iconic rock groups — a cornerstone of that smooth, soulful, and guitar-driven sound that defined 1970s Southern Rock. Formed in Doraville, Georgia in 1970, the group fused blues, rock, and pop into a sound that was both laid-back and electrifying. You may know the group for their megapopular hits like “So Into You,” “Imaginary Lover,” and “Champagne Jam,”. ARS became the cool, polished counterpart to their rowdier Southern peers - and then took their sound around the world. With over 2 million monthly listeners across all streaming platforms, their vocals and always perfect musicianship made them stand out on both FM radio and the festival circuit. Decades later, their legacy remains — classy, soulful, and of course - oh so Southern.
Orleans are pure American sunshine — the kind of soft rock legends who soundtracked road trips, backyard parties, and every summer movie montage before we even knew it. Formed in Woodstock (yes THAT Woodstock) in 1972, the band became known for their perfect harmonies, irresistible melodies, and feel-good grooves that kept us dancing all night long back then. Their hits “Still the One,” “Dance with Me,” and “Love Takes Time” became instant classics and swept the nation like wildfire. With super big vocals and songwriting that never ages, Orleans carved out a sound that’s always recognizable — something to make us hum a tune, or ask the DJ “who’s that?!”. And now, fifty years on- they’re here to remind us why rock and roll is still king.
Don’t miss this one y’all. We’ll see you real soon - right here for the madness, right here at Niswonger!
