The Outsiders Musical

The story
The story, exploring the susceptibility of teenage boys to roughness and anguish, the socio-economic struggles the working-class youth are faced with, the trepidations and confusions of being young, conflict, teen angst, and, of course, romance, hit the stage like a ton of bricks in 2023, and premiered at the Bernard B. Jacobs Theatre on Broadway in 2024.
Its clever fusion of music, lighting, jaw-dropping choreography, no holds barred story, and incredible cast mostly comprising debutantes, oozed with the thrill of newness and blew audiences away - critics, fans, laypersons, and naysayers all the same. ‘The Outsiders’ landed four Tony Awards, an Outer Critics Circle Award, two Drama Desk Awards, a Theatre World Award, as well as a Chita Rivera Award.
Set in Tulsa, Oklahoma, in the 1960s, ‘The Outsiders’ follows the story of Ponyboy Curtis and two nemesis gangs divided according to their socio-economic status..
